| Until around 1899, the community gathered in a parish meeting hall known as the “Iemido,” which also functioned as a small chapel and served as a pastoral center for roughly twenty parishioners. During the tenure of Father Yae Osaki of Aosagaura Church, a white chapel was constructed on the hill of Maruo, marking the beginning of its role as an official circuit church. The building underwent renovation in 1972, and by 1975 it had grown into an independent parish, now known as the Maruo Church. |
