Awaji Flower Park

Seasonal flower fields and sweeping coastal panoramas from Awaji Island’s elevated northern hills, overlooking the Akashi Strait and beyond.

Set atop the gentle highlands of northern Awaji Island at an elevation of approximately 300 meters, this expansive plateau spans nearly 15 hectares and offers uninterrupted panoramic views. From this vantage point, the iconic Akashi Kaikyo Bridge stretches across the horizon, while the urban silhouettes of Kobe and Osaka, along with the distant Kansai International Airport, complete a remarkable coastal vista.

Throughout the year, the landscape transforms into a living tapestry of seasonal blooms. In spring, vibrant fields of nanohana (rapeseed blossoms) and Iceland poppies create a luminous palette, while summer introduces the delicate structure of cleome alongside radiant sunflowers. As the seasons progress into autumn and winter, the scenery softens with elegant salvia, cosmos, and stock, each bringing its own color and texture.

The ever-changing floral displays, set against a backdrop of sky and sea, evoke a dreamlike atmosphere where nature’s rhythm unfolds in quiet harmony.
