Takaitabi Church

| Families with roots in Sotome settled in this area and continued to live out their faith, and it is said that as many as one hundred people embraced Catholicism during a mass baptism held in 1939. The cathedral, completed in 1961, stands near Takaitabi Beach—one of Kamigoto most scenic shores—where its white walls and red roof create a striking, picturesque contrast against the sea and sand. |
